1. If you were not able to hear this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. How is the term “brothers” used in the book of Hebrews (cf. 2:11-12; 3:1; 7:5; 10:19; etc.)? Is this term limited to males, or does it have implications and application to females? Explain?

3. Why is love for our Christian family so important (cf. 1 Thessalonians 4:9-11; 2 Peter 1:5-9)? What does our love for other Christians tell us about our relationship with God? Describe Paul’s instruction in Romans 12:10 and provide some practical application.

4. Would you describe yourself as a hospitable person? Read Luke 14:1-14 and explain the teaching of Jesus on hospitality. Do you think Jesus was hospitable? Explain.

5. Explain the meaning of “remember” in Hebrews 13:3 (cf. Exodus 2:24; Genesis 9:15; 40:14; Luke 12:42). List some ways we can fulfill the commandment in Hebrews 13:3?

6. What is marriage? Who is the governing and determining authority on the meaning and application of marriage (cf. Genesis 1:27; 2:24 Matthew 19:4-6)? Why is marriage something to be valued and considered precious? What is wrong with sexual relations outside of the marriage relationship (cf. 1 Corinthians 6:9-20)?

7. Why are greed and the love of money so dangerous to the Christian’s life (cf. Matthew 6:24; John 12:6; 1 Timothy 1:1-10)? Would you describe yourself as a content person? Why or why not? How do we learn to be content (cf. Philippians 4:11-13)?

8. Why did the writer use Psalm 118 in Hebrews 13:6? How does the meaning of Psalm 118 add to the writer’s point that began in 12:1 and followed? How should the fact that Jesus will never leave or abandon us impact our Christian walk?
