2. Explain your understanding of why the resurrection of Christ is so important to the Christian faith. How have you grown in understanding the resurrection over the last few months and years? In what areas do you possibly need to grow in understanding the resurrection?

3. Read the following passages: Isaiah 52:13-53:12; Psalm 16:8-11; Psalm 22. Describe how these passages and others necessitated the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. What did Jesus mean when He said it was “necessary” for these things to occur?

5. Why did Jesus refer to Himself as the Son of Man (cf. Daniel 7:13-14)? What are some other titles that Jesus used for Himself? What theological significance do these titles carry?

6. Why did Jesus call Peter Satan? What was it about Peter and his actions or thinking that made him similar to Satan? What are some ways in which we can be guilty of thinking the things of man instead of the things of God?

7. Why is the human soul so important? Describe the value of the soul compared to anything else in the world. Do you consider your soul your most valuable possession? What should our lives look like if we value our souls properly?
