2. Why do you think that the Apostle Paul found great joy in other Christians (cf. 1Thessalonians 2:19; Philippians 4:1)? Do you think it is wrong to find joy in/from other Christians? Explain how God can be the source of our joy, and yet we find joy in others.
3. Describe the joy which early Christians experienced together (cf. Acts 2:46-47). What are some ways in which God intends for us to enjoy life together (cf. Hebrews 10:24; Colossians 3:15-16)? Would you say that people at Macedonia Church enjoy life together? Explain.
4. How and why should our salvation serve as a common source of Joy (cf. Esther 8:16-17; 1Chronicles 16:31; 2Chronicles 6:41)? What are some ways in which the Lord’s Supper should cause us to celebrate (cf. 1Corinthians 5:7-8)? Describe what gave Paul joy when he remembered Timothy (cf. 2Timothy 1:4-5)?
5. What is Christian fellowship? How does unity and fellowship serve as a source of joy for the believer (cf. John 17:20-21; 1John 1:3-4; Philippians 2:1-2)? Do you believe Macedonia enjoys true biblical fellowship? Explain your thoughts on our fellowship and how we might help it grow (cf. Romans 12:14-16; 1Corinthians 12:24-26).
6. Consider your own life and how you express joy with other Christians. What are some ways in which you can be more hospitable (cf. 1Peter 4:9)? How does respect and honor for others help increase joy? Think through and consider some ways in which you can be more personal and sincere with your expressions of joy for others (cf. 2John 12; Philemon 1:7; Hebrews 13:17; Philippians 2:29; 2Corinthians 1:24).
