1. If you were not at this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. How would you describe the relationship between divine will and human choice? What, if any, is the responsibility of man toward God? Do lost and saved people have the same responsibility? Explain.

3. What does it mean to have love as our aim (cf. 1 Timothy 1:5)? How do we put on love (cf. Colossians 3:1-14; 1 Thessalonians 5:8)? What does it look like for Christians to walk in love (cf. Ephesians 5:1-2)? What are some ways in which Macedonia Church can stir up one another to love (cf. Hebrews 10:24)?

4. Read Matthew 22:1-40 and explain your understanding of the Great Commandment (cf. Deuteronomy 6:4-6). How can we love God with all our heart, soul, and mind? Is it possible? Explain.

5. What stands out to you about the Psalmist in Psalm 119:97-104? How does the New Covenant enable us to love and obey God (cf. Jeremiah 31:33; Ezekiel 36:26-27; John 8:47)? How do we know if we really love God (cf. 1 John 5:3; 2 John 6)?

6. What does it mean to love the light and truth (cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10; John 3:19-21)? What is it about Jesus Christ that we should love, and how do we express our love to Him (cf. John 8:42-43; 14:15; 1 John 3:18)?
